USC Student Health is offering two events to mark Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31. The first event is hosted by TransLatin@ Coalition and will feature a documentary and Q&A on Thursday, March 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1450 Biggy St. The event will feature selections from the TransLatin@ Migrations short documentaries and is co-sponsored by Keck Pride, GEMS Center for Gender Equity in Medicine & Science, La Comunidad Hispana/Latinx @KSOM, La Voz and USC Student Health. Another event titled Trans-ffirmation: Supporting Gender-Expansive Survivors, will be held the following day, March 31, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Ronald Tutor Campus Center room 232. The event is billed as “a wellness art program for participants to explore mindfulness and their emotions through art.” The program will also provide a chance for participants to create care packages for Casa de Zulma, Los Angeles’ first-ever trans-femme specific shelter and resource center.
