Women’s History Month Celebrations in March

March is Women’s History Month! As a result, many events and discussions will be happening at USC in March, including the annual USC Women’s Conference — Together We Thrive on March 8, 2022, which also marks International Women’s Day. The theme this year is Elevate.Educate.Empower!

The USC Women’s Conference is being offered both in-person and virtually and is open to the general public, alumni, staff, and students. The event kicks off with an inspirational discussion of leadership by USC President Carol L. Folt and will feature other sessions focused on health and wellness, entrepreneurship, professional development, and finance.

Additionally, President Folt will be leading another discussion among faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members on Tuesday, March 1 at 12 p.m. to explore the theme “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.” You can join the event here.

We encourage you to check the USC events calendar for other Women’s History Month events.

In addition, in the Los Angeles area, and nationally, many more Women’s History Month events are being hosted. A few examples are listed below:

The City of West Hollywood is holding a variety of events, such as book clubs, discussions and a Women’s Leadership awards lunch. More information is available on its website

The Los Angeles Public Library is highlighting noteworthy books, conversations, and podcasts related to the month and the non-profit organization Re:Her, which was created in the wake of the pandemic to support women-owned restaurants, is encouraging people to celebrate the month at one of their member restaurants.

Nationally, there are numerous events listed on the official Women’s History Month website hosted by the Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
