Honoring Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to recognize the rich heritage, achievements, and contributions of Native Americans and Alaska Natives.

The USC campus sits on the ancestral land of the Tongva People, the original people of Los Angeles. Along with the Tongva, we also recognize the Chumash, Tataviam, Serrano, Cahuilla, Juaneno, and Luiseno People for the land that USC also occupies around Southern California.

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is commemorating Native American Heritage Month and sharing stories recognizing the thriving and diverse Native American community within Los Angeles. To learn more, visit its “Becoming Los Angeles” exhibition. Your USCard provides free admission to the museum. Check it out!
