EEO-TIX hosting informational session as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month

USC’s Office for Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX (EEO-TIX) is hosting an informational session, as a part of April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month, that outlines the reporting and support options for anyone who seeks our services. The virtual session What Are the Options for Reporting and Support will be held on Wednesday, April 27 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and you can register here for it.

The session is just one of many events that are being held in observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and Denim Day, which is the last Wednesday of the month and encourages people to wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors of sexual assault, and educate themselves and others about all forms of sexual violence and gender-based harm. The EEO-TIX webinar will provide information about how to report sexual misconduct, as well as available resolution options, supportive measures, and other University resources.

For more information about Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Denim Day, including how to support the events with Zoom background and social media templates, visit the USC Student Health site and the Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention (RSVP) site.

You may also want to check out the event Teal Talks, a Sexual Assault Prevention and Intervention Guest Panel event with speakers from RSVP, EEO-TIX, the District Attorney’s Office, and community nonprofits.
There will be a special focus on gender violence in Asian communities and sexual assault issues among LGBTQ+. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and more information about the event can be found here.
