As Vice President for EEO-TIX, Catherine Spear is responsible for leading the EEO-TIX team and ensuring effective implementation of its civil rights mission with respect to proactive outreach and education, supportive services, prompt and equitable resolution processes, and equity and inclusion efforts in employment, education, and all other University programs and activities.

Catherine is also responsible for administering the University’s Policy on Prohibited Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation and associated Resolution Processes and for coordinating the University’s compliance with civil rights laws, including Title IX. Catherine has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dayton and a Juris Doctorate degree from Case Western Reserve University. Her favorite thing about USC is the peace and tranquility offered by the USC libraries, in particular the Hoose Library of Philosophy.
